Insurance

The issue of insurance has become quite complicated and often convoluted in these days of ever changing plans and coverage. I ask that all clients take responsibility for verifying their own coverage and being familiar with copays, deductibles, or coinsurance. If you do not know this information at the time of visit I will submit your claims and you will be responsible for any applicable payments. Please call the behavioral health phone number on the back of your card if you have any questions and you can give them my NPI (National Provider Identifier) which is: 1780071449

I am contracted with plans from:

  • Blue Cross and Blue Shield

  • Tufts Commercial

  • Optum

  • United

  • Harvard Pilgrim

  • AllWays Health Partners

  • Health Plans Inc.

  • Private pay

  • Out of Network (Please see below)

If I am not a provider for your plan you can check with your insurance company to see what your out-of-network mental health benefits are. Your insurer may cover a percentage of the rate for out-of-network services. For example, if your out-of-network mental health coverage is 70% that would leave you responsible for 30% of the out-of-network rate. With most out-of-network insurances I can submit your claims for you and you will receive a reimbursement check directly from your insurer.

Please be advised that insurers require a diagnosis from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM) that will be included in your medical records. Many individuals and couples choose to forego using their insurer for privacy and other reasons (military, certain occupations, etc.) but that decision is entirely up to you.
